Experiential Policies
Students are required to adhere to all Experiential Education Policies as well as the information and policies pertaining to APPE students in the General Manual. Students are responsible to be in compliance with these policies at all times.

Additional Course Policies
Student Profile. Students are required to complete/update their student profile two weeks prior to the start of the APPE rotation. Students are required to contact their clinical instructor two weeks prior to the start of the APPE rotation.
Student Rotation Self-Evaluation. Students will enter a BASELINE self-evaluation which is done ONCE prior to the start of their first APPE rotation. The SPE history which includes the baseline and past rotation evaluations must be reviewed with the clinical instructor during the first week of the block. Students will enter a POST Rotation Self-Evaluation during the last week of each rotation. (See the APPE Evaluations in the General Manual for more details.)
Course Platform. Students enrolled in 728-743 are required to access the course web page. This forum will be used for general course communications and any other discussions related to this course. Course resources will be listed at this web page.
APPE Seminar. Students are required to attend seminars (or view online with permission) and submit applicable assignments by the due dates. Missing seminar or not submitting assignments by the due dates will result in point deductions.
Due Dates. Students are required to upload all assignments to the course web page by 11:59pm of the last day of the block. Please note: required assignments not completed by the due date will result in point deductions at the discretion of the course coordinator.
Preceptor, Site & Course Evaluations.Students are required to complete online course evaluations located on the course web page by 11:59pm of the last day of block. Students not completing the course evaluations by the due date will receive point deductions at the discretion of the course coordinator.
Grading Discretion. Grades may be adjusted downward at the discretion of the course coordinator after evaluating the student’s overall course performance, including issues related to non-adherence to the School’s professionalism policy.
iTOFT Evaluation. If the opportunity arises, the clinical instructor may verify that the iTOFT Evaluation is completed. The iTOFT evaluation is accessible from the grading record. The iTOFT evaluation is optional for 743 and the evaluation is not factored into the final course score/grade.
