At the end of the 6-week rotation the student pharmacist should be able to:
- Comprehensively review key elements of health-system medication use. (EO 7, EO 9)
- Evaluate through observation of medication dispensing and the drug distribution systems. (EO 5, EO 7)
- Evaluate principles of sterile technique when preparing and observing administration of products. (EO 5)
- Examine the use of technologies to distribute and safely administer medications to patients. (EO 14)
- Conduct assessments of and create tools to optimize medication use for the interest of public health. (EO 10, EO13)
- Attend pharmacy meetings (department management and committees with pharmacy representation) and consider the complexities of decision making and implementation. (EO 9)
- Apply the principles of continuing professional development to a self-selected learning opportunity. (EO 15)
